Company history in the fourth generation

Founded almost 150 years ago, Brangs + Heinrich is still owned by the Heinrich family today. Jan Peter Coblenz and Stefan Vogelskamp, the two managing directors of Brangs + Heinrich, are now the fourth generation to run the family business.

Jan Peter Coblenz

A life without Brangs + Heinrich? Unimaginable for the dynamic business graduate Jan Coblenz, born in 1969. His father Bernhard was already deeply rooted in the family business, founding the branch in Hamburg and managing the company in Solingen. Fascinated by business from an early age, Coblenz studied economics in Wuppertal before deciding to follow in his father’s footsteps and join Brangs + Heinrich.

Today, as Managing Director, he navigates through the areas of planning, organisation and finance. Coblenz is not just a businessman in the traditional sense, but a visionary whose heart beats for digital transformation and the reorganisation of all organisational processes in the company. He also contributes this knowledge as Chairman of the Digitalisation Working Group of the German Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services Association in Berlin.

Coblenz is firmly anchored in the economic fabric of the Bergisches Land region. He is an honorary member of the Wirtschaftsjunioren Solingen, a commercial judge at Wuppertal District Court, Vice President of the Bergische IHK, a member of the advisory board of the Bergische Unternehmerverbände and Chairman of the Bergisch Land Employers’ and Business Association for Wholesale, Foreign Trade and Services.

He finds his balance on sailing trips, playing golf and at rousing keyboard sessions with his band.

Stefan Vogelskamp

Stefan Vogelskamp, born in 1967, has 37 years of experience in the industry.

After completing his training, the commercial specialist worked in several functions and areas of responsibility in sales, purchasing and marketing. Today, as managing director and partner, he is in charge of operations and product management.

He places particular emphasis on sustainability, automation and the continuous improvement of packaging processes for customers. In his role as Deputy Chairman of the ProStretch division of the IK Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V., he is particularly committed to the development of a functioning circular economy and efficient recycling processes.

He is also an honorary delegate of the GKV Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie e.V. and is involved in the Wirtschaftsjunioren Solingen, the BVL Bundesvereinigung Logistik and the Marketing-Club Bergisch Land e.V..

But Vogelskamp is also active outside the office: whether football, golf or motorsport, he loves the action and thrill of sport.
